Superintendent, Willing to Travel Beeler Construction, Inc. About the job This position is responsible for overseeing all phases of a project to ensure completion in a safe and efficient manner. Carpenters, superintendents and project managers work closely together to deliver a successful project to the client. Skills and Values • Able to Self-Perform all aspects of a Journeyman Union Carpenter • Strong leadership skills • Extensive knowledge of construction means and methods, equipment maintenance and use, and OSHA guidelines • Ability to understand directions and read blueprints • Ability to solve mathematical problems quickly and accurately • MS Office proficient • PDF editing software experience, Adobe or Bluebeam preferred • Scheduling software experience, Microsoft Project preferred • Excellent oral and written communicator • Organized • Problem solver with analytical and critical thinking skills Ability to teach, motivate and lead • Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills • Strong conflict resolution skills • Ability to persuade and influence • Adaptable, able to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment that can change readily • Team Player “Relationships at every level” • Disciplined work ethic, “Do what’s right, not what’s easy” • Leads with a “Can Do” attitude • Trusted Partner “Committed to excellence” Education / Experience: High school diploma or GED certificate Completion of a vocational carpentry program or apprenticeship OSHA 30 certification 3-5 years as a Journey Level Carpenter 3-5 years as a construction Foreman   Core Responsibilities / Duties: • Self-Perform Carpentry duties as needed • Delegates individual responsibilities and projects to crew members and contractors • Leads in owner/architect/contractor meetings • Manages subcontractors • Estimates materials for projects • Forecasts completion times accurately • Ensures the accuracy of work by checking completed projects against plan drawings and specifications utilizing tools as needed for field verification • Troubleshoots and resolves issues • Emphasizes and demonstrates safe use of tools, machinery and equipment while providing training on personal protective equipment (PPE) Compensation/Benefits: Union Wage and Benefits Package, Foreman’s Rate Salaried Exempt About Beeler Construction Beeler Construction, Inc. is a 3rd generation commercial general contractor, that is family-owned and operated since 1959.
