It all began when Joseph and Agnes Dama purchased Levi Hale’s General Store on Main Street in 1906. Even before indoor plumbing, Joseph Dama sold water pumps and wood stoves. Ken Dama, Mike Dama’s father, purchased the business from his parents, Art and Polly, in 1964. Mike Dama started working for his parents at the age of 14. He continued to work for the family business throughout high school and while he attended St. Norbert College. Mike graduated from SNC in 1992 obtaining a business degree. In 1994, Mike was licensed as a Journeyman Plumber, and in 1996 he achieved a Master Plumber certification. On January 1, 1997, Mike and his wife, Kam, purchased the business from his parents, Ken and Judy Dama. In 1997, Mike and Kam purchased bill Borkowski’s Plumbing, Well, and Septic business in Coleman. Mike, Kam and the Dama management team have expanded the business by opening a location in lakewood in 2015 and purchasing Rouse Heating and Cooling in Coleman 2019. Today, Damas operates with a staff of more than 30 employees.
