Position Summary Under general supervision of the Jail Sergeant, responsible for supervising inmates of the Calumet County Jail assuring a safe and secure environment, while adhering to all applicable laws, policies and procedures. Performs related duties as required. Salary Information $24.16 - $30.23 per hour Job Details Hours and shifts vary. Travel would be minimal unless it involves any training. Brand new, state of art facility! You will be working in a temperature-controlled environment, standing, walking and lifting are required. Must pass the background check conducted by the Sheriff’s Office. Qualifications Graduation from high school supplemented with some course work beyond high school in police science, criminal justice or related field; Two (2) to three (3) years previous civil or military law enforcement work; or An equivalent combination of education and experience.
