You're invited to journey through the Advent season with the people of Brown Deer UMC as we engage the story of John the Baptist as he prepares the way for Jesus to come. The services are hybrid, and all are welcome here. We're in this together! During this 4-week series, we'll learn about John the Baptist; reflect upon the nature of prayer and how God responds; how silence can be a great gift for responding to God; discover how forgiveness and repentance can transform our lives; how to engage in an action-oriented and compassionate way of life; and on Christmas Eve, how we bear witness to the Light working in us and through us. We give thanks to Rev. Adam Hamilton and the staff at the United Methodist Church of the Resurrection for developing and sharing these resources.
