Are you an outgoing, energetic personality that enjoys having fun? Then, we need you! We are looking for energetic, positive, highly motivated, reliable, enthusiastic individuals who LOVE working with children to help us bring the excitement to our Birthday Parties! Birthday Parties are typically on Saturdays. The great thing about working these events is we are flexible and can typically work around your schedule! Location: New Berlin Activities and Recreation Center: 15321 W National Avenue, New Berlin, WI 5315 Birthday Party Host Hours Examples: Saturdays, 11:00am - 4:00pm Examples of Essential Duties Follow guided birthday party outline including setting up the party area, playground a planned activity (obstacle course, science experiment, craft etc…) facilitating gift opening, and cleaning up after the party is gone. Ensure group of birthday party guests are safe and supervised. Follow facility rules for safety. Help prepare and lead a variety of activities that are age-appropriate. Model good behavior for guests as it relates to sportsmanship, manners, and respectfulness. Interact with parents in a professional and polite manner. Minimum Qualifications Fun, energetic personality. Experience working with children. Proven ability to maintain a safe environment for others in adherence with provided protocol and standards. Demonstrated ability to plan, organize, and lead activities for large groups of children. Possess and interest in working with/teaching children. Ability to keep simple records and reports, and work from oral and written directions. Frequently required to stand, walk, sit, stoop, knee, crouch or crawl. Ability to communicate effectively, courteously, and tactfully with staff, city officials and the public. Ability to present a positive image of the department and the City.
