Our founder, the late Chester Ziemienski, was passionate about quality tree care and preserving our urban forests. After earning a degree in forestry from the University of Michigan, Chester recognized a need to bring professional tree care services to homeowners and businesses in his native Milwaukee; and so in 1950, he launched City Tree Service. Now known as American Tree Experts, the family-owned and operated business is nestled in wonderful New Berlin. Chester’s oldest son, Jesse, now presides as company president, a role he’s held since 1989. And Jesse’s son, Dean, serves as vice-president and has been with the company since 2007. More than 70 years since our founding, American Tree Experts remains committed to bringing responsible arboriculture services to thousands of customers in Southeast Wisconsin.
